Somehow I have achieved 30000 hits…thank you all for coming to see what’s been going on…
This journal began as a love letter for Him and has evolved into a window for others to peek in on our world. Evidently people are enjoying what they see…
My world is so wonderful right now…it seems that K and his partner got in just under the wire as far as adopting Miss Annah…had they waited just a few months they would not have passed the new ‘rules’…as it is the three of them will be spending Christmas day in Beijing and not flying home until sometime around the 11th of January.
She is so precious…and absolutely beautiful…I so wish you could see her. She adores her daddies and they are enraptured and He cannot stop smiling.
I am done with my shopping!! I have to go to Olde Towne for my secret sisters socks but then I am done. We are having a sock party on Saturday. The only gifts exchanged will be socks…I love this party..it is so very much fun.
Sunday after church we go to the Open House at my best girl’s house and then later that afternoon we have dinner at church for anyone and everyone who have no other place to be…Christmas Eve service is at 11 pm and I love this night. The little ones all come in their jammies and lay on the floor at the front of the church with their pillows and blankets. We have hot cider and hot cocoa with lots of cookies and it’s just the most special of nights.
There is a concert and throughout the concert different people read passages from the gospel that tell of that night…our pastor reads a story for the kids and it’s just the most special time. We usually get home around 1 am. Of course WE are going to the airport from there and I will hopefully be sleeping until we arrive in Ohio.
Right now my house is full of Christmas. Cookies baking, teens laughing in the den, the little guy ensconced with Him in the work shop, mom putting last minute touches on some project. The stack of gifts by the door for Him to take to UPS in the morning…we ordered most stuff to be sent directly to the house back east but somethings needed to be purchased here and it’s easier to ship them then to try and carry them on the plane…my family nativity scene is under the tree…it’s been a part of my family since the late 1800’s and it is such tradition…
Sighhhh I love this time of year…
Wow, that is one busy Christmas calendar!
Have a great one caitlin.

Sounds like a beautiful time, all of it. I almost wish I could attend that service myself, the way you speak of it.
As an aside… you do know you can request UPS comes and picks up your packages, right?
