Auntie Moo?
Yes little man?
Can you be married to more than one mister?
No little man…why do you ask?
Cause if you can only have one hupsband than you should marry me stead of Mister.
(stifling giggles) Why's that little man? I thought you wanted me to marry Mister?
Well I do…but if you marry him then you won't need me anymore…
Scuse me? What do you mean buddy? I will always need my little man…
Yeah but Mister doesn't like little guys in the bed at stupid o'clock and if He is here then you won't need a little guy to get stuff from the low shelf and walk the dogs and snuggle with during storms and test the cookies and pick the pizza tops and you won't never be home for me to hang out with in the hammock and you won't need me to read you Pooh books when your muscles hurt and…
by this point big crocodile tears…til finally he just collapsed in my arms…and sobbed his fears out…
Evidently this has been building for a bit…see the little guy and I have a very close relationship. Since he was just a wee little man he has spent easily 50% of his time with me if not more. It's almost as if his dad and I share custody…and it was hard on him to get used to my son being here full time again…adding Master is going to be tough for him.
But he adores Master and misses Him nearly as much as I do when He is not here. He just fills a lot of 'manly roles' as he puts it and his fear is that Master will take his place in my world…which of course will not happen…
Little man listen to me ~ yes, when Mister and I get married things will be different. But you are still my number one snuggle bunny…and besides when He is here there will be tickle fests and puppy piles and He can be at all your games and you are right ~ Mister doesn't like you to climb in His bed at stupid o'clock but that's when we can go hang out in the hammock right?
I love you A…nothing will change that…and Mister loves you too…
*sigh* kay ~ but just member I loved you first…
Awwwwwww! So very sweet

Isnt it amazing how little ones can sum up all their fears in one big tear-fest and be so open and honest about it? And equally amazing that a little compassion, honesty, perspective, and rationale can go such a long way to soothe those fears?
What an amazing little man you have helped raise. May you enjoy his hugs and kisses for a lifetime and may he find comfort in the new situation which will be a unsettling and scary at times but in the long run give him one more full-time adult to love and nurture him.

Taylor ~ yes he is the sweetest little guy and so funny ~ his view on life is a bit slanted at times
Angel ~ the thing I love the most about the under 10 crowd is their openness and their stark honesty. That he trusts me enough to let me in speaks volumes to me and helps me to be forthright with him.
Annissa ~ you have one about his age don’t you? I am sure with the three of them you and your wee ones have quite the dialogue at times.
littleone ~ posting his picture is not my call make, after all I simply hang out with him…he is not my child…just in my heart..but perhaps I can find one to email you.
And just to let you all know – Master called this afternoon and He and the little guy had quite the talk…and came to ‘an understanding…’
